Welcome to St. Hellen Memorial Clinic (referred to as “the Clinic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our facility along Kobs Road, Seeta, or by using our website and digital booking portal at www.sthellenclinics.ug, you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Medical Services & Consultations
1.1. Doctor-Led Model.
St. Hellen Memorial Clinic operates a premium, doctor-led model. Outpatient consultations are conducted by Senior Clinicians (Monday through Friday) and Medical Doctors (Saturdays and Sundays).
1.2. Unhurried Care
We schedule dedicated, unhurried slots for each patient to ensure clinical superiority. While we make every effort to honor exact booking times, clinical emergencies may occasionally cause minor delays. We appreciate your patience as we give every patient our complete focus.
2. Financial Policy & Upfront Pricing
2.1.Integrity in Billing.
True to our core value-Integrity is our currency. The Clinic enforces a strict policy of transparent pricing.
2.2. Upfront Consultation Fee.
To maintain our premium standard of care and ensure absolute transparency, our clinical consultation fees are required to be paid upfront at the reception desk prior to seeing the medical professional.
2.3. All-Inclusive Short-Stay Tiers.
Fees for our private, short-stay premium beds are fully inclusive of the room, baseline nursing care, and standard clinical consumables.
2.4. Pre-Authorized Additions.
Any specialized medications, laboratory tests, or high-resolution ultrasound scans recommended by the clinician during your visit will be clearly priced and explained to you for your approval before administration. You will never be billed for hidden clinical fees.
3. Digital Booking, Portal, & Communication
3.1. Online Bookings
Patients may schedule consultations, scans, and maternity check-ups using our real-time online booking engine. Appointments are subject to confirmation via SMS or WhatsApp.
3.2. The 48-Hour Continuity care
By registering your contact information with our front desk, you give consent to our nursing and administrative team to contact you via phone call, SMS, or WhatsApp 48 hours after your discharge to monitor your recovery as part of our “Caring for you, always” protocol.
3.3. Digital Medical Records
Patients may access their secure laboratory results and high-resolution ultrasound files via our patient portal. You are entirely responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
4. Patient Rights & Code of Responsibilities
4.1. Mutual Respect
We treat every patient with maximum dignity, elite hospitality, and absolute privacy. In return, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior toward our front desk staff, nurses, midwives, or doctors.
4.2. Accurate Medical History
To deliver accurate diagnostics, patients are responsible for providing complete, truthful information regarding their symptoms, medical history, and currently prescribed medications.
5. Privacy & Data Confidentiality
5.1. Medical Confidentiality
The Clinic handles all patient information, medical histories, diagnostic scans, and lab results in strict accordance with the medical confidentiality laws of Uganda and global data protection standards.
5.2. Data Use
Your private medical data will never be sold, shared, or exposed to third parties without your explicit, written consent, unless required under specific statutory public health mandates by the Ministry of Health.
6. Governing Law
6.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced strictly in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from services rendered shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Uganda.
